Come Home Please!

For the Global Game Jam 2019, the theme was "What Does Home Mean to You?". Our team decided to focus on one of our favorite things about home: our pets. In this case, Flop! We were able to ideate fairly quickly and landed on a Wario-Ware esque style of game, because we wanted our game to be accessible and wanted to be able to iterate quickly on different minigames to ensure they felt good.

What I worked on:

  • Set up Singleton Game Manager to handle game flow from main scene to minigames, etc.

  • Overrode class built by other engineer to handle sprite flipping in opening cinematic, but also have it animate in a way that satisfied the art/design requirements.

  • Implemented audio feedback/background music into the game.

  • Set up win/loss conditions which redirect to the GOOD BOY or TRY AGAIN sprites for visual feedback.

My Role: Engineer

Tools Used: Unity, Git, C#
